GEORGIA SHRIMP
The Agnes Marie. The only wood shrimp boat still on the Georgia coast. It is always eye-opening to learn where your food really comes from. To really see what the term "by-catch" means and what the average 1-5 ratio of shrimp to by-catch actually looks like. Still, the Georgia shrimp industry is relatively sustainable and captains like Captain Phillips use by-catch reduction devises that only allow the smallest of the fish to be caught in the nets. Wild Atlantic shrimp is always a better choice than foreign farmed shrimp or gulf shrimp.
